We’re excited that Budgie Sanctuary Rescue is now an approved Return and Earn donation partner! Your bottle and can refunds can help provide food, veterinary care, enrichment and everyday essentials for the birds and cats in our care.

Select our charity
- Open the Return and Earn app. Sign in or register, then find the donation partners or charities section.
- Search for “Budgie Sanctuary Rescue”. Select our charity and press “Set as Payout” to make it your active donation payout.
- Check your active payout before returning containers. Make sure it shows our charity, then scan your personal app barcode at the return point before you start.
- Return your eligible containers. At a machine or centre, finish by tapping the transfer button. At a depot, follow staff instructions.
100% of the refund is donated to your selected charity. Check your active payout each visit; it stays selected until you change it.

You don’t need the Return and Earn app to donate. Save our charity barcode to your phone or print it and take it to a Return and Earn machine in NSW.
- Scan our charity barcode at the machine before inserting your containers.
- Confirm Budgie Sanctuary Rescue appears on the screen.
- Insert your eligible bottles and cans.
- Press “TRANSFER” when you have finished.
100% of your refund is transferred to Budgie Sanctuary Rescue to help feed and care for our rescue birds and sanctuary cats.

Before you head out
Look for the 10c refund marking and check container eligibility using the app or the official Return and Earn website. Containers should be empty, with labels attached and barcodes readable. This is the NSW Return and Earn scheme; return-point services vary.
To support our rescue, select Budgie Sanctuary Rescue in the app or use our charity barcode. The machine’s general “Donate” option may support a different appeal.
